her art is testimony to the unity of the feminine, the sensual and the divine, challenging patriarchal interpretations that they are in contradiction with one another. she is devoted to the intimate experiences of the Arab woman and the world around her. through her writing and art, she investigates the religious and cultural wounds that interfere with perception, desire, and pursuits, weaving layers of lived experiences into each body of work.

she is the founder of the new project 'The Perfumed Garden' - a collective space devoted to the practice of art as ritual, ceremony, and medicine for the Arab diaspora. the project works to preserve and engage with the erotic, spiritual, and sexually vibrant history of the SWANA people.
